A River Songtext

A River Songtext
Treading water slightly, although I know it is senseless, senseless indeed.
And although I′m changing, I still am bathing in glass-like joy.
Joy that's so fragile, how fragile we are. I drop a hopeless smile... Treading water slightly, while I′m aware that the rivers never return.
They struggle to the sea, collide, entwine and are carried away.
River, drown me deeply in you, still.
I wander on a foreign stream and the grass on the banks ceases to grow.
Cry me a river to drown my joy, swim my sacrificial ocean.
Waves swell and as they grow tall the water rages with intense anger and cuts through the earth like glass.
When everything's calmed the glass is stained with dried out flakes of soil.
