Truth wells in me like water from stone
A voice that keeps me from being alone
When it contradicts the reality i see
Speaking truth to power is the action that i seek
But the leaders like their power and
You see me as wearing their color
They see me as rebel without flock
And i wonder what door i must unlock to

Wearing the color of power

To claim all have power


I am no messiah here to save the masses
Saving them from their ego disasters
I′m a woman with pain joy and fear
My words flow like water when my sight i clear
If i don't let them flow they′ll explode like a blood vessel
Then a bruise i'll be on the side of the people
My pain spreads like disease on breath
Til day or night no one will have rest

Sun bathes the world in light

That god is not just wrath controlling us with fear
But to the truth of one love will humanity steer

Power is in privilege i receive privilege is responsibility
Chameleon skin pale privilege wins notes bends and moans rock transmutes sin
Prophets hail from every kin respect the past new age begin
We′re taking to the streets again dignity we must defend
Four hundred years a grain of sand but equality is the master plan
Do you share love or steal from others do you steal hope or build another
