I don′t mind the sunrise
Even on the weekend
I thought I was on time
Turns out I was dreaming
I let it go but I don't know why
I guess it′s easier to reside
Guess that's why I don't mind the summer
I don′t think about it
He left on the night wind

Not the springtime
Cause all the in between days I lost my mind
In the winter
I spent my time
Sifting through the tears I found the years I left behind
In the fallout, I'm not weary
I left him in the backseat of a car that I don′t drive
Some will rain on my life
If flowers bloom in June I wonder what will bring July?
Cause Momma's in the kitchen and Daddy's down the hall
My brother is crying over girls who didn′t think to call
Grandma′s going to risk her life so she could pray
It makes me feel a little worse for singing all day
Guess that's why I don′t mind the summer
