With elegant strokes
The tail of a swallow
Is painting its flight
Slow and winding
While I′m watching it go
There's a sense it evokes
Of freedom right down
In my wiring

Our life is like a string of accidental pictures
Askew on forgotten days
With a careless aim it slips through our fingers
But everything′s strangely in place


The tall grass waves
Directions to follow
On a mystery ride
Down and climbing
The rolling dunes know
These perilous ways
I think it's the wild sea
They are miming
