We had it all planned from the cake to the rings
A pretty white dress and a spot by the tree
The people would dance and the band was gonna play
But nobody plans for a hurricane

The power′s gone out now
It's dark and it′s raining
We're cooped up in the house with all this beer
So well what the hell, we've got nowhere to be
Let′s make the most of this tragedy

When there′s no sunshine we pull out the moonshine
And have a hurricane party for two - INSIDE
We almost had a wedding, but that's alright
I guess i′m a hurricane bride

We'll light all the sparklers we saved for the end
Forget the thank you cards we don′t have to send
Let's burn all the candles, and dance to our song
It′s already raining, what else can go wrong

Forget about a suitcase I don't have to pack
