Stonecarver Songtext

Stonecarver Songtext
Years and eons I have chiseled
On this headstone of mine
Gloomy memories I carved
Took them for a rightful sign
Deep within the gloomy groves
I engraved my shackled thoughts
For my final rest I strove
As I took myself for naught
As I took myself for naught
But you pierced the darkest hollow
Washed away disgrace imagined
Causing me to follow
Words so thoughtful, impassioned
I saw life in meadows
Found color in rain
No more bound by shadows
No longer living in chains
As I gazed upon my stone
I saw the surface smooth
No more tales of woe
No lies concealed as truth
As I left my stone behind
And walked out of the groves
I was no longer confined
With clear vision, I took to the roads
I took to the roads
On this headstone of mine
Gloomy memories I carved
Took them for a rightful sign
Deep within the gloomy groves
I engraved my shackled thoughts
For my final rest I strove
As I took myself for naught
As I took myself for naught
But you pierced the darkest hollow
Washed away disgrace imagined
Causing me to follow
Words so thoughtful, impassioned
I saw life in meadows
Found color in rain
No more bound by shadows
No longer living in chains
As I gazed upon my stone
I saw the surface smooth
No more tales of woe
No lies concealed as truth
As I left my stone behind
And walked out of the groves
I was no longer confined
With clear vision, I took to the roads
I took to the roads
