Small Doses Songtext

Small Doses Songtext
Another big win for the void not that I′m keeping score
Always been so pessimistic of opening doors
These days I'm trying to self medicate
They say it′s best to moderate
So I'm taking it in small doses
I know some people who live life without a care
They take the elevator and I take the stairs
Most everybody wants to be liked
Even the ones picking a fight
So I'm taking them in small doses
Suppose I should take a vacation I try to enjoy
Drown in the ocean the worst of my inside voice
Manzanita high as the tide
Birds in my ear, feeling alright
So I′m taking it in small doses
Small doses
You can′t rely on love to keep you alive
But I've found somebody to live for all of the time
And she grew a garden out in the yard
And for the first time I′ve noticed the stars
So I'm taking it in small doses
Small doses
Small doses
Always been so pessimistic of opening doors
These days I'm trying to self medicate
They say it′s best to moderate
So I'm taking it in small doses
I know some people who live life without a care
They take the elevator and I take the stairs
Most everybody wants to be liked
Even the ones picking a fight
So I'm taking them in small doses
Suppose I should take a vacation I try to enjoy
Drown in the ocean the worst of my inside voice
Manzanita high as the tide
Birds in my ear, feeling alright
So I′m taking it in small doses
Small doses
You can′t rely on love to keep you alive
But I've found somebody to live for all of the time
And she grew a garden out in the yard
And for the first time I′ve noticed the stars
So I'm taking it in small doses
Small doses
Small doses
