What Really Matters Songtext
von David R. Evans

What Really Matters Songtext

I tried to fight them
To prove their opinion wrong
I stood when they criticized me
To somehow show that I was strong
Like a fool crusader
I was fighting my own war
You know I just gone had enough now
Realize It don′t matter much anymore

Took me such a long time
I'm ashamed to say it true
But I finally realized that
All that matters
Is to be intimate with You
Cause life will fade and die
All these things (All these things)
Will come to an end
Your the only thing that matters now
Its being with You
My eternal friend (Oh friend)

You see I went for respect
I wanted a large respected ministry
Was how good could I preach or huh
How good could I sing
Who I knew and who knew me
You see I played the churches political ways huh oh yeah
I played it to the letter of the law (It′s not wrong it just is)
You know down over the years I've finally come to realize
You know it don't matter much anymore

It took me such a long time (Such a long time)
I′m ashamed to say it true ooh
But I finally realized that
All that matters is to be intimate with You
Cause life will fade and die
All these things (All these things)
Will come to an end
Your the only thing that matters now oh to me
Its being with You (Being being with You)
My eternal friend

Yeaah
It doesn′t matter (Nothing in this world sgotta hold on me)
It doesn't matter (Aaaa no it don′t matter)
It doesn't matter (You know it don′t matter I got my eyes on You)
Anymore (Anymore anymore)
It doesn't matter (Aaaah It doesn′t matter any more any more)
It doesn't matter (Oh it doesn't matter anymore)
It doesn′t matter (You gotta see it you gotta see it)
Anymore (Lord I know I know I know it doesn′t matter anymore to me no no)
It doesn't matter (My heart my mind my soul my strength)
It doesn′t matter
