Well he may not be green
He may not have scales
Or even a tail
But he's the coolest gator

Well I met my man Ollie
When he was just a little guy

And August, to say goodbye
Those many nights I cried
Led me to finally ask why

With a gator everyday

Call me your gator dad

To have you as my alligator son

You gave me one billion nights
To see if I treat you right
And not go out of site again

Even when your times are rough
I know being an alligator can get quite tough
I didn't know I needed a gator in my day
But I'd die before anyone could take it away
