Philodendron Songtext
von The Unitaskers

Philodendron Songtext

Come out your coma
And rush out your bedroom
Your catatonia′s broken by the sound of
Voices whispering cruel confessions
That you could swear are coming from loved ones

You brush your teeth
As you teeter toward the window
Constantly astounded
By the day-to-day pain of it

With Earth turned sour
And the people turned to cannibals
Wonder how you could possibly get used to this

Ash starts falling
And plants go grey
And you start pining
For gentler days

Put on a pair of disintegrating All Stars
Wind through the empty rows of parked street cars
Wonder where all the birds flew off to
On the day when it all just went to shit

I take her out for a walk, my Philodendron
I've known this city since before it was necropolis
I′ve known people who lived in all these buildings
Before they became mausoleums

She's feeling worse
Than even she's used to
She keeps drinking water
But she′s not in bloom

She′s feeling worse
Than even she's used to
She keeps drinking water
But she′s not in bloom

She keeps drinking water
But she's not in bloom
She keeps drinking water
But she′s not in bloom
She keeps drinking water
But she's not in bloom
