I wake up really early
In the middle of the night
I get myself some water
To make me feel all right
Back to my room with my favorite music on
To help me go to sleep
Before I know it I start to dream
Which starts out kind of deep

I move around like a ride in Disneyland
Not knowing where I′ll go
A grocery store or to a concert hall
Other times I don't even know

It happens in the middle of the night
You know it happens in the middle of the night


I have these premonitions
On things I never knew
Sometimes it′s not so easy
To forget the things you do
I find myself getting lost in crazy thoughts
Not sure what I'll do next
But then the dreams show me
Many years from now
So I wake up and go to work

In these dreams I sing musicals
Sometimes it's rock and roll
James Brown or even Lady T
It′s unusual to know these things
