The Bull Songtext
von Phil Forsyth

The Bull Songtext

It′s a common resolution
And one for the ages
It just might change your life
Does that make it dangerous?
It's a perfect contradiction
A real love-hate paradox
Like the way one imagines God calls and hangs up
To tease the devil
Or says dot-dot-dot-dot-dot
I′m sorry, love

But do you really want her back?

And it's hard to be a friend
To the truly deluded
With all this narcissistic poetry
To which you eluded
I'm sure it all has merit
But who′s to judge this one?
I′m not sure a letter in blood
Is really the way to go here
She seems more the flowers type
Or maybe Candy
This weren't in the job description but I...

Never seem to lose the ones like you
Who′s senses leave
And what's left is fire that spews
I′ve gone blind/ Are you mine
I can't see ′cause you blinded me
This devotion's not unappealing
You are broken but I am healing
You've got the eyes of John the Baptist
Honey-locust eating eyes
The kind of certainty that tells me
You′re outside reality mine
You are young/ You inspire
You terrify/ I admire
Your fucking tenacity
So come along and try to breathe
Maybe I
Just like
You
