Dear diary

Today a new chapter in my life has begun
I′m at the horizon
And now I'm writing this to document my path
What secrets
Will be revealed to me, what will I get to see
Area fifty one
Or what plans they′ve got for Mars

For all the struggle and hardship I've endured
Most of my life
Surely this must be my reward
But to think I've ascended to the top of the climb
Is not the case at all


Stand up for the man in silver far from earth apart
Stand up for the sacrifice within his golden heart
I swear I′ll be the man up there
Was it destiny that brought me here
It′s clear to me that I must dare
To take a giant leap for mankind
There's nothing to fear

Dear diary
I′m now in training on their space programme
Pinch me I'm sleeping
But this is not a dream, this is where I should be
How lucky
Am I to be here, I′m just a biochemist
Nothing too fancy
Though I'm determined to get where I want

I′ll make sure there's not a thing standing in my way
My elbows are sharp enough
It's closer now than ever but still far away
I can′t wait for long

Soon I am the man in silver launched into the void
Soon I′m in a rocket hovering without a noise


Sturdy boots and heavy wear

To be one with all of cosmos, I am prepared
