I'm an astronaut from planet earth
A once aspiring cadet
No more now than a dusty shape, a billion years old
This is what I leave before I starve
A diary, a written legacy
To speak for all humanity
And all the things I cherish and the place which I call home


I wish that this ship will be retrieved by
Species that does not only rival
Our intellect, no, more than that
Our social ways, there must be one to have desire
To investigate further upon the landing of my craft

Though I never want to think about my chances
It′s nothing more than a fool's hope to see a payoff
For this endless drifting far away from course, I'm
Forever lost and never found
With an overwhelming probability
Eternal drift or burned in time
Forgotten by history
