I never learned to love myself

The age of 15, that′s when I took the drugs to help

′Cause as a kid, I dealt with betrayal and trauma
Got sick of dealin' with drama
I took the drugs to feel calmer
'Til getting fucked up was normal
Used liquor and marijuana, to cope
I got addicted to hope
I′m at the edge of my cliff
Now, I′ve gotta let go

The only thing I've ever really had in my life, is my music
From ages 8 to 12, I dealt with a lot of abuse
And shit that I would rather not talk about, at the moment
It took me a while, to admit to my past and own it

But it made me who I am today
I used to be a lost soul, that was led astray
I was not okay
So, I laid on my bed, and prayed to stars in the sky
That I could survive this pain, that I would harbor inside
To shooting stars
