Out here on the road I′ve seen a lot of things
Some were good and some were bad but mostly in between
The road goes on forever every mile feels like two
And I'm wishing I could fall asleep beneath the Alabama moon

Out here on the road homes a feeling you can′t bring
There's highs and lows but most of all it's something in between
The road you know it′s lonesome and these nights are lonesome too

And Tulsa ain't so bad as they made Tulsa out to be
My problem here in Tulsa is that she ain′t mine to keep
I'm laying here awake she′s trying to sing me off to sleep
She sounds just like an angel so I know it's not for me
